Back in 1873, the Greenwell family put their coffee to its toughest test: a tasting competition at the World’s Fair in Vienna, Austria – famous for its historic coffee houses and demanding java drinkers. Judges awarded the Kona contestants a Recognition Diploma – one of the fair’s top honors. Nowadays, these special beans are honored at another celebration – the Kona coffee festival each November on the Big Island.
