Crave Brothers Dairy
High electric bills caused Wisconsin’s Crave Brothers Dairy to think about using manure to make electricity, benefitting their bottom line and making a significant contribution to the environment as well.

Mark and George Crave create award winning cheeses known throughout the region. The brothers invested in sustainability by installing a “digester” on their farm to convert their cow manure into electricity with a state of the art generating plant. They say the environmental efforts have made them better neighbors.

Cheese - Fun Fact:
Cheese has been around for a very long time. In fact, you’ll find images of cheese-making decorating the walls of early Egyptian architecture. Ever wonder about the most popular variety of cheese? Cheddar, named after a village in England, wears the crown.
