Episode 708 - Sweet Scent of Mint addthis
Sweet Scent of Mint
Mint has been a favorite for flavoring foods and beverages for thousands of years. And if you’re looking to find farmers producing this aromatic specialty plant, look to the Great Lakes State of Michigan. Spearmint and peppermint plants are grown in abundance in Michigan making it one of the primary mint producing states in the nation.

But Linette Crosby sees mint as much more than just a flavoring in your chewing gum or adult beverages. Linette and her family have created a wealth of mint related products and see the sweet smelling plant as a key to their farming future.
