Episode 701 - Batey Farms addthis
Batey Farms
This farm in Murfreesboro, Tennessee has been operated by the same family for over two hundred years. You could say it’s where rural meets urban. It’s also home to a pig whose face graces the cover of a famous children’s book.

The land that is now Batey Farms was first settled way back in 1807 and it’s been worked by the same family ever since. John Batey and son-in-law, Brandon Whitt, say that farming this ancestral land is important in the overall picture of understanding where our food comes from.
