Dairy Farm and Ecology
Idaho is one of the top five dairy producing states in the nation. If you travel east of Boise to a region called “The Magic Valley,” you’ll find a farm whose cattle constitute an important portion of the state’s overall dairy production.

As owners of close to 20,000 dairy cows, the Roth family at Si-Ellen farms works around the clock, 365 days a year, milking thousands of cows each day. The family operation requires military precision to efficiently handle the animals and process the milk. The family is also undertaking new steps to minimize their operation’s carbon footprint.
